The S-Type's premiere was on a German cinema production by Michael Bully Herbig. He produced his movie "Balloon" which tells the story of the crossing of the inner German border of the families Strelzyk and Wetzel from the GDR to West Germany with a homemade hot-air balloon. The S-Type prototype has been used for many weeks.
Key Grip Jürgen Zarda and also Cameraman Torsten Breuer enjoyed working with the S-Type.
After weeks of usage of the prototype our CEO Andy Fitz (right), and Christopher Schuller, Marketing at Panther (left), have been on set of "Balloon" to get first hand feedback. We discussed together with Jürgen Zarda (Key Grip), Torsten Breuer (Camera) and Michael Bully Herbig (middle) about what can be done even better before we started the S-Type serial production.
Key Grip Stéphane Thiry and Cameraman Christophe Beaucarne were the very first people in Mauritius that have been used the S-Type Dolly. It was a sucessful production of the movie "Lisa Redler" (by Nicole Garcia).
For a showreel shooting of the new Alexa Mini LF from ARRI the S-Type Dolly has been successfully used.
Cameraman Tom Fährmann enjoyed working with the dolly and especially emphasizes the versatility and flexibility that the S-Type offers for both the Cameraman and Key Grip.
"My People My Country" is the name of a long expected movie in China. The story consists of 7 short stories which are directed by different famous Directors and Celebrities.
The S-Type Dolly has been part of the production for this movie. It was a very successful usage and the crew (DoP Boxue Wang) enjoyed working with it.
To train the users more deeply, we already had numbers of S-Type Training Days. Here we were in Mexico to train and equip the local Key Grips in this area to get the most out of the S-Type. We went deeply into every single feature and explained all advantages and possibilities of this dolly.
We want to show everybody how the S-Type can improve their work on set. So here in Mexico are now many specialists that have been trained by us and are ready to work with it.
Key Grip Olando Grübel from Berlin (left picture) was one of the very first owner and operator of the S-Type in Germany. He is always using his own equipment and when he first saw the S-Type immediately he wanted to own one. One of the first operations was for the German cinema movie "Wunderschön" (Directed by: Karoline Herfurth, Camera: Daniel Gottschalk).
Guenter Neuhaus from "Ludwig Kameraverleih", also from Berlin (picture below), at IBC Show in Amsterdam for a last hands-on before they get delivered their own S-Type Dolly.
